CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY

CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY
At Alfa Charters, we understand that travel plans may change. This policy is designed to provide flexibility to our guests while allowing us to properly secure the yacht, crew, provisions, and services required for each charter.
Guest safety, transparency, and a fair solution for all parties will always be our priority.

1. BOOKING DEPOSIT
A 50% deposit of the total charter price is required to confirm and secure your yacht, date, and departure time.
The booking deposit is non-refundable, except in the specific circumstances described under Company Cancellations below.

2. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
More than 72 hours before departure:
If you need to cancel or reschedule, 100% of your deposit will be protected as a charter credit, valid for one (1) year from the original charter date.
The credit may be applied toward a new date or another available yacht and is subject to availability and current charter rates. Any price difference will be the guest’s responsibility.

Less than 72 hours before departure:
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 72 hours before departure are non-refundable and not eligible for charter credit or rescheduling.
At this stage, operational commitments and preparations may have already been made specifically for your charter, including crew, fuel, food, beverages, transportation, and other supplies.
No-shows are also non-refundable and are not eligible for credit or rescheduling.

3. WEATHER & OFFICIAL PORT CLOSURES
Light rain, cloudy conditions, wind, or other normal weather variations do not automatically require cancellation. If the Port Authority keeps the port open, the charter will operate as scheduled and guest-initiated cancellations will follow the standard cancellation policy above.

If the Port Authority officially closes the port due to severe weather or unsafe sea conditions, no cancellation penalty will apply.
In this case, 100% of the amount paid will be protected as charter credit, valid for twelve (12) months from the date of the official port closure.
Because food, beverages, fuel arrangements, crew, and other preparations may already have been committed before a last-minute port closure, an official port closure does not automatically result in a cash refund.

4. COMPANY CANCELLATIONS & MECHANICAL ISSUES
If the reserved yacht cannot operate due to a significant mechanical issue or another operational matter attributable to the yacht or company, Alfa Charters will make every reasonable effort to provide a comparable replacement yacht, subject to availability.
If a suitable replacement cannot be provided, the guest may choose to:
*Reschedule without penalty, or
*Receive a 100% refund of the amount paid.

5. CHARTER CREDIT
Charter credits are subject to yacht availability and current rates, may be applied toward another available yacht, and may require payment of any applicable price difference.
Charter credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for a cash refund.

6. ACCEPTANCE OF POLICY
By submitting a deposit, partial payment, or full payment, the guest confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted this Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy.

Alfa Charters reserves the right to modify the itinerary or departure time when reasonably necessary for guest safety, weather conditions, maritime regulations, or operational requirements.

Thank you for choosing Alfa Charters. We look forward to welcoming you aboard and providing a safe and memorable experience in Los Cabos! .
